leaving town

After successive lovely days of going away with friends, or friends visiting us, reality has set in and finds me alone attempting to pack up the house and move on.

Packing is not my strong point.

shift

The champagne label isn't coming along as I had hoped. Time to rethink.

Happy weekend.

the bending of trees

Hope everyone had a wonderful long-weekend. We did.
Aside from the music, we also stayed in the Blue Mountains, in a cute little house that hadn't left retro behind.

It was hypnotic to open the curtains in the morning and watch the bushland bend in the high winds.

orange triangle

Despite all the ideas and attempts, this birthday card came back to a simple orange triangle on some old handwriting guide lines that I have had since I was a kid.

On a musical strain, if you are in or around Sydney there are bunches of great "save FBI" gigs happening during June. We are driving in specially to see the Spunk hosted "another night on earth" on Monday. The line-up includes Firekites, New Buffalo and The Middle East to say the least. We went to the first "a night on earth" a couple of years ago and I must say Spunk have to be the best record label ever, so many of my favourites are signed with them. Jumping with excitement.

(We saw Jezabels and Josh Pyke last night as they came to our little town, fun).

another school chair

I haven't been able to op-shop for ages, but the past couple of weeks I have been able to sneak it in and pick up some goodies. (Even though in theory I am sending things to the op-shop to reduce the amount of stuff we have).

I couldn't resist this old school chair, some knitting needles in sizes and colours I don't already have, and a bag of white yarn that I have been dreaming about for a small project.

Eggs, worcestershire and the most amazingly salty anchovy.
Breakfast is beautiful.
