he will walk through the wall if he wants to

Sweet colours from a building by my favourite lead architect.

The train passed a wall in Melbourne today that had the words " f@*k your blog" painted over layers of graffiti that I am sure would otherwise end up on one of our blogs. I like it!

sewing behind thighs, in a toilet

Hooray for sewing skills. (But derr!)
Started my day with the bus-stop seat biting holes into the back of my tights, on both my legs. With legs swung onto the toilet lid I had to stitch behind me without seeing. It may not be pretty, but it saved me from a progression of tearing and embarrassment for the rest of the day.

Have a wonderful weekend.

blank film and black dog

Don't you hate it when you forget to photograph something you make before gifting it? Had a new card to show, but has been passed on now. It would have illustrated the spooky coincidence that, like this lady, i have crosses (or t's) and speech bubbles floating around in my head at the moment.

On the darker side of being in one's head I am impressed by the 21 postcards developed as part of the Black Dog Project. ( A communal and ever-growing space dealing with mental challenges, focusing on young people).
Please check it out if you have a moment.

maps of colour

I saw a bold installation by Kirsten Farrell recently and was blown away. She had created fictional topography with bright coloured plastics, layer upon layer. Definitely an artist I am adding to my ♥ list.

when the dust jacket comes off

An early start to a Saturday meant I could sneak to the op-shop. I found some books for eb and his dad, (history of wine in medicine and how to build a pizza oven, riveting for some), but found myself these treausures. Hiding behind an ugly dust jacket was this magnificent book cover. My new favourite thing is this small bakelite sewing case, the graphic of the sewing machine is the best, so modern for something quite old.
It was full of feet that may or may not fit my old singer, will have to test them out.

So there are a lot of things I want to get done today, or should. Don't know where to start.
Papermaking, cleaning, market research, grocery shopping, washing, hemming my jeans. If anyone elese out there suffers from jeans much longer than their legs then I find this the best and easiest way to hem them.

Have a good weekend, anyone have anything exciting planned?

yellow poplar moss

The poplars have this great yellow moss-type organism growing on them. I hope it isn't a disease, but it looks very pretty.

The sun is shining, the breeze blowing, have a happy weekend.

baby wants to be a banana

I was pigging out on some lolly bananas this afternoon before yoga, (yes I know, asking to vomit), and I found a jelly-baby in the bag. Identity crisis?

The supermarket seemed colourful tonight. That baby pinata was too cute!

(Large or medium sized pictures? Does anyone have an opinion on which look better in posts?)
