I am not a needlepoint girl myself, but have bought a couple of tapestry canvases as a christmas present for someone who is. I did like coming home from the craft store with a paper bag full of colourful tapestry yarn. (No, I didn't wear my pyjamas shopping).
Apologies for being a bad blogger of late, but time has been disappearing. Hope to be back in the swing of posting and blog-hopping soon. How is everyone coping with the silly season?
I have been finding these broken seed chambers/pods on the road out front of our house. They almost freak me out in the same way wasp nests do, but I really find their fragility quite beautiful.
Finally put one of my pay it forward gifts together. 4 to go. Hope my lovely recipients aren't impatient.
Some links: Louise Goldin Autumn/Winter 08 collection. Found via Loveology. astulabee softies. Bought this as a gift on the weekend. Hope everyone has a nice week.
Why don't I go for a walk by myself in the late afternoon/early evening more often?
Want to hear something I find comical about those traffic lights? They are on the main thoroughfare in and out of our town. They serve only one purpose, which is to stop traffic so pedestrians can cross the street. They only turn red if a pedestrian presses the button and I think I am the only person in town who ever presses the button to cross. I can feel the glares I get when I stop the traffic, and I think it is amusing.I always cross there. Found two new spiffy blogs. Dank En and Living on the Move.
