fourth image, fourth folder

The talented Debi van Zyl tagged me to post the fourth picture from the fourth folder of images on my computer. The fourth folder of images is actually a folder full of work by Fafi, as I went through a stage where I fafinised my desktop and mobile phone. This cute faffinette and Hmilo are actually part of my desktop background currently. The coquettish cuteness is rather appealing don't you think?

I tag knitxcore and
outi.

what is on our walls

Famapa tagged me with this fun what's on your walls tag.

Our walls are a definite work in progress.

I am counting our fridge doors as walls! In the quest to have adult walls all blu-tacked pretties now have to reside on the fridge.

I tag Ashley, Esti and Mieke Willems.

on the computer screen

The girl with a most beautiful name from Intimate Vignettes awarded my blog the brilliant weblog award. Thank you! The rules are:
When you receive this reward, showcase it on your blog and link to the person who awarded you with it. Hereafter, give the award to 7 other blogs and comment on their blog to let them know.

To pick only 7 is tricky, I have tried to avoid the usual suspects. However I must say that I find it so stimulating and calming at the same time to visit so many wonderful blogs, you all probably know if I visit you, so thanks for making my weekdays a better place.

7 of the many brilliant bloggies, in no particular order:
  • kiddet - Swedish art student. i adore her work and she is just refreshing.
  • aaA - multi-faceted artist from Japan, living in Paris. She illustrates and is honest.
  • paper schmaper - this lady loves paper, she is a designer and extremely magnetic. You will get hooked.
  • my funny eye - she says she likes taking pictures. a lot. (and she is very good at it).
  • kootoyoo - this lady epitomises the australian crafters in a very down to earth way.
  • 1911 - immensely talented artist in Italy, the good machinery. the blog has a grittiness that comforts me.
  • debi van zyl - knitted softie maker, need i say more? she has a great aesthetic sensibility.
Check them out.

seven songs of winter

Mixwit

Young Mind tagged me with this fun little one. I thought I would even make a mixtape of it in case anyone wished to listen. So;

The Rules: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your summer or winter. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.

1. Killing for Love - Jose Gonzalez
2. School - Nirvana
3. That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
4. Gouge Away- the Pixies
5. Low Happening - Howling Bells
6. This Year - Mountain Goats
7. Private Lawns- Angus and Julia Stone

If anyone wants to play, tip you are it.

will catch up

We visited my parents in the capital for the long weekend. I really enjoy the landscape as we drive. I tried a delicious japanese 'sangria' soft drink, it is always exciting to get good asian food when we are in a big-smoke. Was nice to browse shops, especially when you can see in real life things you have gushed over on the internet.

I must catch up on 'this is'.
I must let you know that the gorgeous Hila tagged me, however I had already been tagged with this one so go read her lovely bloggie instead.

about a girl (ferment)

Did I really just type that tragic post title? Anyhows, this lovely lady tagged me. So here is the Q and A.

1} What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was in grade 10 at high school. I was a teenage girl, I don't think I need to elaborate. I like to think I have evolved quite substantially since then. (Did you know our frontal lobes don't stop developing until the age of 24/25? I was told this recently).

2} What are 5 things on my to-do list for today?
I am bending the rules and listing 5 things I want to do tomorrow as I have a day off work:
  • Sand back the frame of my old mirror.
  • More unpacking.
  • Washing.
  • Decide on, and start making a special birthday present.
  • I have to get an injection.
3} Snacks I enjoy:
Chocolate, granny-smith apples, pistachios.

4} Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Travel, indulge in my hobbies, invest/donate in some community projects, buy more art and music, the list goes on.

5} Places I have lived before:
Sydney, Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Regina (Canada), London.

6} 6 people I want to know more about:
Well I would love to know more about anyone who reads my blog, so tag you are all it if you want to play. Let me know so I can go visit your answers.
