Not a floral person, but alas, I couldn't resist this upholstery sample as the feature fabric for the pencil pocket on my new diary. I have chosen to look at flowers all year, and have started making baby stuff. Am I becoming everything I don't like about "craft"? Will I be quilting next (urrgh)?Happy weekend.
With the influx of babies making their debut in our lives I have purchased Lotta Jansdotter's fantastic book, Simple Sewing For Baby. (I am totally clueless about sizes).
Above are the beginnings of some bloomers, one of the projects in the book.
Call me a critic, hypocritical even, but I have begun blog hopping again and in turn have been reminded of a constant question. Why, when armed with a cult-ish camera, (polaroid, diana etc.), are the basics, such as composition and working with light, allowed to be ignored? The romantic qualities of these mediums aren't always enough.
I am trying to remember this whilst playing with my pinhole.
Am I alone in thinking this?

Vitoria, Spain.

The bump in the family has finally arrived. Onesie and welcome to the world card, a beginning of the myriad things i intend to make for her.
