We spent some time at the teddy bears' picnic with eb's little sister on Saturday. The big (and daggy) kids went straight for the fake-flavour van. Sno-kones and fairy floss.
Friday afternoon and a long birthday lunch. Above the list of magnums intended to be opened. I arrived late and missed out on a few. Kate Just large-scale sculptural knitting.
Glad to see collecting handmade plush has infected our household scientist. On his birthday wish list Eb has asked for some of these cuties from the Particle Zoo. Subatomic particle plushies, weighted according to their properties. I love it. Thanks to the particle zookeeper Julie for use of the images.
Last night I was wearing my Emma Grace brooch whilst I was pouring at a public wine tasting. A very handsome young man thought it so cool that he had to make lovely conversation with me about it.
So single ladies...wear handmade.
On another note did anyone see Playing in the Shadows the other night on ABC? Broke my heart and made me feel like a selfish and ungrateful human. Powerful.
I bid (a few times) on the ghost patrolsoftie at the softies for Mirabel auctions. He is now happily playing in our fireplace. (No flames, it's okay). Mirabel are doing important things for children affected by substance abuse. I know the proceeds will go to great use.
Looking forward to a most gorgeous couple's wedding and also seeing a birthday lady this coming week. The top is the wedding card with fabric envelope, the latter the birthday card, she loves her tractor. (Ahh farmers).
Top: my entry in the do not leave unattended notebook, (note: lacks wisdom), see other contributions here.
Below: the gorgeous envelope the notebook has been travelling around in. I wonder if Jude made it?
It is on the way to Japan now, and I realised whilst making the address labels that the next recipient is the etsy seller I bought those stamps from. Small world.
