reading material

Today is the first full day in some time that either of us have had off.
It is mostly being spent reading in bed with chocolate and lollies whilst it rains outside. (No lack of material).

Anyone reading anything mind-blowing at the moment?

Sounds lovely!

I am reading Family Matters by Rohinton Mistry and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz. Family Matters is fantastic - very very touching. So far I am not that into the Diaz novel (although i loved his short stories a couple of years ago) but I am only half way through.

I loved Family Matters too, and A Fine Balance even more! I would recommend Bel Canto by Ann Patchett - I finished it recently and it was so bittersweet, I just wanted to keep reading. And The Dark Room by Rachel Seiffert, I really love her writing style.
