the day my washing machine broke giveaway

To say thank you for the reading and encouraging.

To say the web hub of craft, crafters and artists is a valuable place.

To giveaway a copy of Lena Corwin's Printing by Hand, a small piece of Lara Cameron fabric, and a coin pouch made with my teeth-brushing fabric.

To enter leave a comment and point me towards something you think I would find inspiring. An artist, a song, a maker, a photograph, a book, a word, a knitting pattern (especially if it is for a knitted goat), anything.

To be valid, comment before 5pm next Sunday the 9th. ( I ♥ November).

This is such an amazing giveaway.
I'm going to point you towards a youtube clip for Lenka. I love this song at the moment and this sweet little animated clip is really charming. I hope you like it too! (and I hope the washing machine is ok).

Have you read Erin Kobie's blog? She's an artist but her blog is not just all art all the time. Here's a link to one of my favorite drawings she's done...

You've got so many amazing reads on your sidebar already!! My gut instinct was to send you to a textile maker or artisan, but then I saw your reading list. We have very similar taste in books. I thought you might like McSweeneys. They have long stories, short stories, emerging writers and some of my favorite contemporaries like David Eggers and Nick Hornby. In particular, check out The Believer - it's a great literary magazine

Having been exposed to the possibility of cancer hitting anyone, i've been reading up on topics related to cancer. I find this particular website really inspiring. It's on the stories of cancer survivors.

I would love to win this for my close relative who was recently diagnosed with cancer...

Thanks so much for the giveaway!

Here's a site full of animals to knit: http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/animals.php
If you don't like the above mentioned pattern (which is on this site under the name "Frank" lol) you could modify another animal pattern into a goat... ie: a sheep

Thanks for the giveaway!

Yarns named after literary heroines. Way cool. I dig the Elizabeth Bennett.

Anyway, I'd love to win!

2 goat patterns for you. The first is for a flat gaot to knit into a peice of fabric (I think?) and the second is for an actual animal..a little Billy Goat. I hope you enjoy! :)

That is the link to President-Elect Obama's acceptance speech. No matter what your political affiliation might be, you have to be inspired by those words and ideas. Be inspired by the knowledge that every child born from this day forward will not know an America where a person cannot aim and REACH any goal he or she sets her mind to.

This is probably the most inspirational thing I've ever seen:
