staple soup

Putting together some Pho, a staple of ours.

Today it snowed in the middle of the day, big huge snowflakes. It was gorgeous but I didn't have a camera. Through my window at work I enjoyed watching the people who unexpectedly found themselves in the snow. The lady walking with her pram and big dog, the man riding his bicycle, the eldery person zipping around on their gopher. When they left home I don't think they were prepared for snow, but noone seemed to mind.

Edit:
It is snowing again tonight, yipee.

Oooh. Must learn to make that. Need to make some hearty soups to warm up the loved ones in winter.

Will you make me some? I lived in Hanoi in 2000, working there for an international aid program. Pho Ga was my breakfast.

Good looking pho basis...would you share your recipe? I've never liked this when I had it but it's always had bamboo shoots and I don't care for that taste.
