everybody walk the dinosaur

The little green dinosaur just one day made his home on top of this brewing book from 1907.

A pink stegosaurus, what more could a 3 year old girl want? Knitted for g's birthday, using this pattern by Jennifer Thurston. (Main adjustments I made were knitting it on dpns, as I am not well versed in seaming, and shortening the neck).

Pages from The Flower, the book we are giving g with her library bag and dinosaur. Written by John Light and illustrated by Lisa Evans, it stood out at the bookstore. The blurb on the back says mysteriously illustrated, i agree.

Hope your child has a wonderful birthday - the knitted dinosaur is fabulous! My son loved dinosaurs when he was that age - I learnt more dinosaur facts that I cared to know. He used to name them all and they went everywhere with us.

It is actually all for my partner's little sister. She loves her dinosaur books, and gave her big brother a pack of plastic dinsoaurs for his birthday last year. (Hence the little green one). Good to be breaking out of gender stereotypes.
